Manometers and Thermometers

Manometers and Thermometers

Autoclaving is a process that combines temperature and pressure. These factors enable sterilization and preservation. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor these processes using measuring instruments.

Thermometer

Most bacteria die at temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius, but for different microorganisms, there is a specific duration for which this temperature must affect them. This is why pasteurization, especially for meat and fish products, needs to be monitored to ensure compliance with such sanitary standards. Hence, a thermometer for the autoclave is necessary. Home production can suffice with simple devices, while industrial production requires more complex counterparts. Uteko offers each variant:
  • Glass thermometer: The simplest yet accurate device. It is an alcohol-based thermometer, with a scale up to 150 degrees Celsius, and comes in a cardboard case. Designed for "Che" series autoclaves.
  • Bimetal thermometer: A branded device developed by UkrPromTech for A and Uteko series autoclaves. It features a metal casing, a scale up to 150 degrees Celsius, and fits into a special slot on the casing.

  • Manometer

A device that measures gas or water pressure in an enclosed space. Such is the tank of an autoclave. Measuring this indicator is necessary both for safety and for the successful outcome of sterilization. This is especially important in autoclaves that do not have a stable power source, such as electric ones. For all devices with external heating—universal, gas autoclaves—it is advisable to purchase a manometer. Uteko offers a universal device—the thermomanometer. It simultaneously measures the temperature and pressure inside the tank. The temperature scale ranges from 0 to 120 degrees Celsius, and the pressure scale ranges from 0 to 6 atmospheres. The device fits into a special slot in all Uteko models in the "Bingo" series. All products can be ordered by phone on the website.
