Heating Elements for Autoclaves

Heating Elements for Autoclaves

Uteho's electric autoclaves of all series are equipped with heating elements, known as heaters or "ten" in Ukrainian. These heaters are made from special metals designed to interact safely with food products. Each heater is tailored to heat an autoclave of a specific volume.

Material Composition

The autoclave was invented to cook and sterilize food products. Consequently, the heating element that comes into contact with the tank must be made from steel that does not affect food quality. The heaters sold by Uteho are constructed from stainless steel. Stainless steel meets sanitary and hygienic standards, does not oxidize the environment, and does not leave residues on food products. This type of metal is widely used in food preparation facilities and commercial kitchens. For home or small-scale craft production, autoclaves may feature tanks made from either stainless steel or carbon steel. However, the heaters in these units are always made from stainless steel. A heater is a sealed steel tube that operates on an electrical supply and typically has a specific bent shape. Heaters vary based on the material from which they are made, their type (dry or wet), and their power output. When considering heaters for Uteho autoclaves, the focus is primarily on their power specifications.

2 kW Heating Element.

The 2 kW heating element is used in autoclaves designed for light to moderate workloads, typically accommodating between 8 and 24 jars of 0.5 liters each. It is suitable for both stainless steel and carbon steel tanks. Compatible Series:

  • Che Series: Che8, Che16, Che24
  • UTech Series: UTech8, UTech16, UTech24
  • Series A (Stainless Steel): A8, A16, A24
  • These autoclaves are ideal for home use, as they do not require full capacity loading and consume less electricity compared to larger models designed for higher jar capacities.

    3 kW Heating Element

The 3 kW heating element features a longer heating tube and is included with medium-capacity autoclaves. It is used in tanks made from both stainless steel and carbon steel. These autoclaves are designed to handle workloads of 32 to 40 glass jars, each with a capacity of 0.5 liters. Compatible Series:

  • Che Series: Che-32, Che-40
  • UTech Series: UTech32, UTech40
  • Series A (Stainless Steel)*: A32, A40
  • These are semi-industrial autoclaves suited for small-scale craft production. They can accommodate not only 0.5-liter jars but also 1-liter, 2-liter, and, in some models, even a few 3-liter jars.

    9 kW Heating Element

The 9 kW heating element is the most powerful option available and is used in industrial autoclaves. It is designed for use with stainless steel tanks and is capable of heating autoclaves that accommodate from 60 to 500 half-liter glass jars.
    Compatible autoclave series:

  • Series A: A60, A100, A185, A350, A500
  • Universal Series
  • Industrial Models: Prom60, Prom100, Prom185, Prom350, Prom500

  • These autoclaves are equipped with water cooling systems to manage the heat efficiently and are suited for large-scale industrial production.

    Other Components for Heating Elements

For the uninterrupted operation of heating elements, a power supply is essential. On the Uteho website, you can find power cords for heating elements in all types of autoclaves, featuring rubberized insulation and a standard plug for the network. To protect the connection between the heating element and the power cable, Uteho offers a special cover. It is made of plastic that insulates against electrical current. This protective cover also prevents moisture and other external factors from entering the structure. To ensure the best seal between the heating element and the fitting, a rubber gasket is available. This special rubber seal creates airtightness at the connection point. Two sizes are available: for 2-3 kW and for 9 kW. Heating elements and their components can be ordered by phone numbers listed on the website, where you can also receive advice on usage. Payment can be made in cash upon pickup from Chernivtsi, by PrivatBank card, or by cash on delivery. Delivery is handled by Nova Poshta to branches or by courier.
