UTEHO Autoclave Set

In UTEHO household models, the body has a diameter of 32 cm and an elongated cylindrical shape. This design ensures even heating, proper circulation of hot steam, and the ability to easily place jars of different volumes. The body is made of black metal or stainless steel (depending on the model).

The lid is hermetically connected to the body thanks to clamps and a special key included in the set. Tightening must be done crosswise, and the key must be used.

The UTEHO autoclave lid contains the main functional elements that ensure control, safety, and correct device operation during sterilization:

• Manometer – measures the pressure inside the autoclave during sterilization. Pressure control allows maintaining the correct regime described in the autoclave manual.
• Safety valve – an emergency protection element. If the pressure rises above 6 atm, the valve automatically activates and releases excess pressure. Thanks to this, the canning process remains as safe as possible. The valve is also used manually after the sterilization cycle if you created an initial pressure of 1 atm.
• Nipple for creating initial pressure. It is installed on the ball valve. Through it, the initial pressure can be created (for example, using an electric compressor). A steam valve can also be connected to the same tap instead of the nipple. The compressor and steam valve are additional accessories that are not included in the basic set; they can be purchased separately on our website.

A heat-resistant gasket is placed between the lid and the body to ensure airtightness. It withstands high temperatures and pressure, making it a critically important part of the construction. We recommend always having a spare gasket on hand because if it becomes damaged, it must be replaced promptly.

For convenience and safety, autoclaves of the "A" and "Uteho" series include handle covers that protect against burns and make carrying the autoclave more comfortable. The covers are easy to put on and resistant to high temperatures.

A thermometer is installed on the autoclave body, showing the temperature of the water or steam inside. The mounting point of the thermometer has a sealing gasket, which helps obtain accurate temperature readings during autoclaving.

Special jar stands are placed at the bottom of the autoclave. Their purpose:

• protecting jars from contact with the heating element or bottom;
• ensuring even heat circulation;
• preventing cracks in glass jars.

Using the autoclave without stands is strictly prohibited.

Stainless steel autoclaves are also equipped with a built-in drain tap, which greatly simplifies draining the water after sterilization.

If you choose an electric autoclave, the standard set also includes:

1. Heating element (TEN)
Made of stainless steel. Available in:

• 3 kW
• 9 kW

Power depends on the volume of the autoclave.

2. Control unit
Allows setting the temperature and sterilization time.
The unit automatically maintains the selected mode (temperature and holding time) — this is the most convenient option for those who are just learning how to use an autoclave, as the electric autoclave does not require as much control as gas heating.
