Marinara Sauce Recipe

Marinara Tomato Sauce  — is a classic Italian sauce that is perfect for spaghetti, pizza, meatballs, patties, or any other dish. It has a rich flavor of ripe tomatoes, which are beautifully complemented by the aroma of basil and oregano. Garlic adds a touch of piquancy to the sauce, while chili pepper enhances it with a slight spiciness. Thanks to the combination of sugar, salt, and pepper, this sauce has a pleasant balance of sweetness and saltiness. This tomato sauce from our chef is a versatile addition to many dishes.

Homemade tomato sauce, prepared in an autoclave, retains all the beneficial properties of tomatoes, as well as its unique taste and aroma for a long time. Marinara sauce is a solution for those who want to have delicious homemade tomato sauce ready to use at any moment. It makes a great base for pasta, lasagna, or pizza. Use our recipe for homemade tomato sauce to add real Italian flair to your dishes.

Tomato sauce for spaghetti for winter for 4 jars of 0.5 liters each.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes1.5kg
  • Sugar100g
  • Dried Basil150g
  • Dried Oregano100g
  • Garlic6-8 cloves
  • Salt / Pepper
  • Chili Pepper1 piece

Step 1

Wash the tomatoes and make cuts on the skin to prepare them for blanching.

Step 2

Heat the water and dip the pre-prepared tomatoes into the boiling water. Keep the tomatoes in the boiling water for 1 minute.

Step 3

Drain the hot water.

Step 4

Transfer the tomatoes to a bowl of cold water (you can even add ice), and leave them in cold water for a short time.

Step 5

Carefully peel off the skin from all the tomatoes. After blanching, this is very easy to do.

Step 6

Pour olive oil into a pan.

Step 7

Chop a few cloves of garlic and add to the pan.

Step 8

Add the peeled tomatoes to the pan with the garlic and season with sugar, salt, ground black pepper, oregano, basil, and finely chopped chili pepper. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 9

Fill the jars with the sauce and seal them with a lid.

Step 10

Prepare the tomato sauce for winter at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.

Step 11

Take out the jar of ready sauce and add it to dishes.
