A relief valve.
They are emergency valves that reduce excessive pressure. They prevent situations where the tank could burst from excessive load. By reducing the amount of water in the tank, they prevent physical damage. Suitable for the entire range of UkoPromTech autoclaves with water cooling. Two options are available:
Steam Valve
They are designed for the special "steam" autoclaving mode. This function allows for sterilization without the use of liquid. It can be used to process jars before filling them with products, retort pouches, and to can products in glass containers with standard SKO lids (if specialized clamps are present) or Twist-Off lids, etc. The pressure in this mode is 1 atmosphere. The principle of operation is to release heated air from the tank, leaving only steam. This reduces the time spent on heating and cooling the autoclave. The valve operates automatically and does not require manual control or monitoring.
Vacuum Valve
They are designed to isolate and seal parts of the vacuum system. This component ensures a specific sequence for pressure application and evacuation. The vacuum is necessary for the proper operation of the autoclave, specifically for performing the primary sterilization function and maintaining a consistent environment inside the heating tank.
Ball Valve
Named for its design features, a ball valve consists of a sphere with a hole inside the tube. When rotated using a lever, the valve either allows or blocks the flow of liquid. Due to its simple construction, ball valves have a wide range of applications (from household appliances to the oil refining industry) and come in many varieties. Nipple
To prevent SKO lids from bursting during autoclave operation, initial pressure is required. This crucial component, the nipple for the autoclave, provides that necessary pressure.
