Autoclave Components

Purchasing an autoclave is a significant step forward in enhancing your canning skills. Uteko products, made from black metal or stainless steel, are built to last for many years, but wear and tear can occur. For these situations, the store offers a range of autoclave components.

Autoclave Lid

The purpose of the autoclave lid is to create a hermetic environment. Each model series of autoclaves has specific lids designed to fit the device perfectly. Stainless steel lids are designed for the “A” series autoclaves. They are durable and ideal for food preparation. These lids have 6 holes for bolts and nuts. For the “Uteko” series, you can purchase a black metal lid. This design includes holes for installing a thermometer, manometer, thermomanometer, etc. The most budget-friendly option is the “Che” series. Lids for these autoclaves are also made of black metal and feature a clamping mechanism that ensures good sealing. All types of lids come with a warranty ranging from one to five years.

Heating Element for Autoclave

This heating element is designed for electric autoclaves. Since Uteko offers several series of autoclaves, each with various sizes, the range includes heating elements of different power ratings::
  • 2 kW Heating Element: Made of stainless steel. Suitable for autoclaves with a capacity of up to 24 jars of 0.5 liters each.
  • 3 kW Heating Element: Heats containers with a volume of 32-40 jars of 0.5 liters each..
  • 9 kW Heating Element: Made of stainless steel. Designed for industrial autoclaves.

  • Measuring Devices

To monitor the environment inside an autoclave, it is necessary to have certain measuring devices. For successful canning, temperature control is crucial, specifically the precise maintenance of the temperature regime. For safety, it is important to monitor the pressure inside the device. The manometer from Uteko is used for gas or universal autoclaves with external heating. It can withstand pressure up to 6 atmospheres. For Uteko autoclaves, you can purchase a glass thermometer suitable for gas devices. It fits into a special socket on the lid and can handle temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius. For autoclaves in the “Uteko” and “A” series, a bimetallic thermometer is appropriate. It can withstand temperatures up to 140 degrees Celsius. Another option is the combined thermometer and manometer, known as a thermomanometer. It is designed for universal and gas autoclaves with external heating and fits into a special hole on the device. It can handle temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius and pressures up to 6 atmospheres. This device is included with autoclaves in the “Bingo” series.

    Controllers

For comfortable operation of the autoclave, it is worth purchasing controllers. They help automate the canning process, saving you time. For temperature regulation, a thermostat is available. This device is suitable for electric autoclaves. You can set the temperature and operating time on it. The thermostat can be purchased for both home use and industrial autoclaves, with the model Thermostat 380. A power controller is necessary for processes such as distillation or moonshine production. It allows you to adjust the power from 0 to 100%. It is compatible with electronic devices. The power controller can be bought separately and comes with a warranty.

    Valves and Faucets

A relief valve acts as a safety mechanism for an autoclave if the pressure exceeds the specified limit. When the pressure increases, the valve system releases excess water, thereby reducing the pressure inside and preserving the integrity of the autoclave body. The 1.5-bar relief valve automatically activates when the pressure exceeds this mark. The 6-bar relief valve releases water when the pressure exceeds 6 atmospheres. Both types are compatible with all models from Uteko. Additionally, there are devices for facilitating the drainage of water from the autoclaves—ball valves. The available models on the website are:

  • 1" BSP: Suitable for models A185, A350, and A500.
  • ½": Fits all Uteko autoclaves.
  • Drain Valve: Universal, compatible with all autoclaves..
  • You can also purchase a steam valve for the autoclave. It is needed for autoclaving in "steam" mode. It releases steam from the tank and automatically closes, leaving only heated air inside. The valve requires no additional actions and operates automatically. The working pressure under these conditions is approximately 1 atmosphere. For vacuum systems, you can buy a vacuum valve. It ensures the application of pressure and the sequence of evacuation.

    Stands and Clamps.

Clamps are a set of nuts and a handle that allows for a hermetic seal on the lids of the “A” series and Uteko autoclaves. The lid can be closed by hand, and the handle provides additional pressure to ensure a complete seal if needed. The set includes 6 clamps and 1 handle. Stands for autoclaves are available for both gas and electric models. They are made from black metal and stainless steel. These stands are designed to prevent jars from coming into contact with the bottom of the tank.

    Rubbers and Gaskets

Rubber gaskets provide better sealing. Uteko offers gaskets for autoclaves that ensure a tighter seal between the body and the lid:

  • For “A” series and Uteko autoclaves.
  • For “Good” autoclaves.
  • For A350 and A500 models.
  • For A250 model.
  • For autoclaves with a basket.

  • Other Components

For all electric autoclaves from Uteko, a cable with terminals for the heating element is available. The protective cover for the heating element shields the connection point with the power cable, preventing moisture from reaching the wires. To prevent the sealing lids from popping off in the autoclave, it is advisable to purchase a nipple that creates the initial pressure inside the autoclave. Additionally, instructions for autoclaves and a collection of canning recipes are available separately. All components can be ordered by phone or via email using the contact information provided on the website. Delivery is handled by Nova Poshta to all operational branches. Payment can be made by card, cash on delivery, or in cash upon pickup in Chernivtsi.
