Beet Salad Recipe

Korean-style beetroot — is a vibrant salad made from preserved beets, perfect for lovers of spicy and rich, unusual flavors. This salad combines the sweetness of red beets with the aromatic notes of coriander, cumin, black pepper, and garlic. The beets, sterilized in the autoclave, gain a slight tang from the vinegar, which balances the flavor and gives the marinated beets their distinctive aroma.

Tomato sauce prepared at home in an autoclave preserves all the benefits and unique taste of tomatoes for a long time. Marinara sauce is perfect for those who want a delicious homemade tomato sauce readily available. It makes an excellent base for pasta, lasagna, or pizza. Use our homemade tomato sauce recipe to bring a touch of Italian flair to your dishes.

Marinated beets for the winter in 4 jars, each 0.5 liters.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot2kg
  • Cumin20g
  • Coriander20g
  • Garlic4-5 cloves
  • Sugar6 tbsp
  • Salt3 tbsp
  • Pepper
  • Vinegar50g
  • Sunflower oil150-200g

Step 1

Peel 2 kg of beets and cut them into thin strips using a slicer - mandoline. If you don’t have this tool, the beets can be sliced into strips using a knife.

Step 2

Add 20 grams of cumin and 20 grams of coriander to a hot pan, stir, and heat the spices to enhance their flavors.

Step 3

Pour 150 grams of oil into the spices and turn off the pan.

Step 4

Grate 4-5 cloves of garlic and add them to the beets.

Step 5

Add 6 tablespoons of sugar, 3 tablespoons of salt, 50 grams of vinegar, and black pepper to the beets.

Step 6

Pour the oil with spices over the beets.

Step 7

Mix all the ingredients together.

Step 8

Pack the beets into jars and seal them.

Step 9

Prepare the beets for winter by cooking them at 100°C for 10 minutes.

Step 10

Enjoy the tasty and crunchy beet salad as a standalone appetizer or add it to other dishes.
