Everyone prefers different types: some like regular apple jam, others plum, and some enjoy raspberry. And there are so many types of jam. Apple Jam with Dried Fruits


For preparation we need:


  • sweet apples ─ 1.5 kg;
  • dried fruits ─ 1 cup;
  • sugar ─ 2 kg;
  • water ─ 1 cup.

Method of preparation:


  1. Apples should be thoroughly washed and peeled. Cut the peeled apples into small slices.
  2. Prepare syrup from sugar and water, pour it over the chopped apples and dried fruits (you can choose any dried fruits ─ the more types, the richer the taste of the jam).
  3. Put the jam on the stove and cook for 3 minutes on high heat and 3 minutes on low, stirring constantly.
  4. After cooking, let the mixture cool, and after a few hours repeat the previous step again.

  • If the thermometer is at the top of the container – cook for 10 minutes at 100 degrees.
  • If the thermometer is at the bottom of the container – cook for 10 minutes at 110 degrees.

Gooseberry Jam


Ingredients:


  • gooseberries ─ 1 kg;
  • cherry leaves ─ 10 pcs.;
  • water ─ 2 cups;
  • sugar ─ 1.5 kg.

Method of preparation:


  1. Wash the gooseberries and put them in a container. The berries should be ripe, undamaged, and all stems removed.
  2. Add washed cherry leaves and pour everything with sugar syrup.
  3. Bring the resulting mixture to a boil and leave to cool for 4 hours.
  4. Repeat the previous step once again, after which put the jam into jars (remove the cherry leaves).

  • If the thermometer is at the top of the container – cook for 10 minutes at 90 degrees.
  • If the thermometer is at the bottom of the container – cook for 10 minutes at 100 degrees.

Cherry Jam with Chocolate


Ingredients:


  • cherries ─ 1 kg;
  • cocoa ─ 1 tbsp.;
  • citric acid ─ 1 tbsp.;
  • 72% chocolate ─ 100 g;
  • sugar ─ 0.5 kg.

Method of preparation:


  1. Wash the cherries and remove the pits.
  2. Blend the prepared cherries, add sugar, and leave for 30 minutes to release the juice.
  3. Put the resulting mixture on the stove and bring to a boil, then add cocoa and citric acid. After that, boil for another 5 minutes.
  4. Grind the chocolate and add it to the hot mixture, stirring thoroughly until the chocolate is completely dissolved.

  • If the thermometer is at the top of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 90 degrees.
  • If the thermometer is at the bottom of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 100 degrees.

Pear Jam with Ginger


Ingredients:


  • pears ─ 1.5 kg;
  • ginger root ─ 30 g;
  • lemon ─ 0.5 pcs.;
  • sugar ─ 700 g;
  • cloves (whole) ─ to taste.

Method of preparation:


  1. Wash and peel the pears. Then cut the pear into slices or cubes. Chop the ginger as well.
  2. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon.
  3. Mix the chopped ingredients with sugar and lemon juice in a deep enamel bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and leave to infuse for one hour.
  4. After that, put the bowl with the mixture on the stove and boil for 15 minutes, removing the foam.
  5. Pour the finished jam into jars, placing a few clove buds on top.

  • If the thermometer is at the top of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 90 degrees.
  • If the thermometer is at the bottom of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 100 degrees.

Lemon Jam with Mint


Ingredients:


  • lemons ─ 1 kg;
  • sugar ─ 2 kg;
  • water ─ 0.4 l;
  • mint leaves ─ 4-5 pcs.

To prepare jam from such interesting products, we need to do the following:


  1. Wash the lemons and leave them to dry completely. Then cut them into slices, removing the seeds.
  2. Put the prepared lemons in a container, add mint and water, and cook everything on high heat for 10 minutes. Remove from the stove, cover with a lid, and leave in a cool place for 10 hours.
  3. Strain the juice from the resulting mixture. Discard the mint leaves.
  4. Add sugar to the juice and bring to a boil.
  5. Pour the prepared lemon syrup over the previously separated lemons and cook on low heat, bringing to a boil.

  • If the thermometer is at the top of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 90 degrees.
  • If the thermometer is at the bottom of the container – cook for 15 minutes at 100 degrees.
