To obtain such a certificate, we had to undergo two types of testing in different organizations, which issued us the test reports. The first report is a test of the autoclave at maximum possible pressure (until rupture). The other report is a test of the autoclave according to TU parameters.

Autoclave Rupture Testing

One of the most important characteristics of an autoclave is its airtightness. It is crucial because pressure and high temperature are created in the unit during operation. In case of depressurization or rupture, people may be injured, or even a fire could start in the house. "UKRPROMTEKH" pays great attention to this aspect – all autoclaves are equipped with a safety valve that prevents this.

To prove this, we contacted the E.O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is a leading institution in Ukraine in the field of welding. Research on the "A" series autoclave at various pressures was conducted on its base.

The working pressure of autoclaves is 4-4.5 atm. The safety valve, which triggers at 6 atm., prevents the pressure from rising and damaging the autoclave. And the tests only confirmed this – at 6 atm. the valve began to open gradually, and upon reaching 6.4 atm., it fully opened. This study proved that the autoclave is completely safe when used correctly.

But that didn’t stop us, and we removed the safety valve and continued to increase the pressure. These and subsequent tests were conducted to find out the maximum pressure the autoclave can withstand. The results were encouraging: during the tests, depressurization first occurred only at 24 atm. But the integrity of the autoclave was not compromised; only the rubber gasket was pushed out by the pressure, causing water to leak. However, the rubber itself remained intact and continued to function. To further increase the pressure, clamping plates were added to the autoclave design. This allowed the pressure to be increased to 31 atm. It was only after this that physical damage occurred – a small point of destruction appeared at the welding seam.

Test Protocol

The result is more than impressive – the autoclave withstood pressure 7.5 times higher than the working pressure. Moreover, the autoclave did not rupture; there was only a small crack. This once again proves the reliability and safety of the autoclave, as achieving such pressure without special equipment is almost impossible. (It is strictly prohibited to conduct similar experiments at home!).

Similar tests were also conducted by SC "Pivdentest" – a certification body. All tests were successful. After this, the household autoclaves of the "A", "UTech", "Che", and "Good" series produced by UKRPROMTEKH are certified autoclaves according to all standards, namely: TU U 28.9-3271812358-001:2021 "HOUSEHOLD FOOD AUTOCLAVES. Technical Specifications", clauses 1.1, 1.2.1.1, table 1, 2.2, 1.2.8-1.2.12, 1.2.16-1.2.23.
